About the Commission
The Planning and Zoning Commission considers requests for the rezoning, subdivision, and development of properties under the requirements of the city's Zoning Code and Subdivision and Development Regulations.
The Planning and Zoning Commission has two standing subcommittees. Subcommittees consist of a minimum of four members and the chair. The responsibility of these members are divided into two areas of interest: Site Plan and Master Plan / Ordinance Review subcommittees. The Site Plan Subcommittee generally meets before regularly scheduled meetings, as needed. Check the regular agenda to see if a subcommittee meeting is scheduled. Usually these meetings begin at 6:15 p.m. on the same first and third Mondays.
On occasion, the commission schedules a work session to review certain topics or proposals. If a work session is scheduled, information will be provided here.
