The Groundbreaking Ceremony for this new park took place on Saturday, November 16th and construction on this new neighborhood park will start in late 2019. This park will be located at the current terminus of the Pond-Grover Loop Road. The park will include 2 play nodes, one for toddlers and one for pre-school aged children. There will be minimal parking (park goers are encouraged to walk to the park), restrooms, seating, and shade. The entire park area will be fenced.
Name the Park Contest
Until December 9th, the City is accepting suggestions, from Wildwood residents, on what the park should be named. Use the online form to submit your ideas. City Council will then select the winning submital.
The aerial photograph below, shows the park's location. It is northeast of the State Route 100/109 interchange and accessible via the Pond-Grover Loop Road from the roundabout on State Route 109.
