The Board of Adjustment of the City of Wildwood will hold a public hearing that will begin at 7:00 p.m., on Thursday, February 18, 2021, via an online meeting platform (Zoom). The webinar will originate from City Hall, which is located at 16860 Main Street, Wildwood, Missouri 63040.  The City of Wildwood respectfully requests all petitioners and other interested parties participate via Zoom’s webinar platform. Written comments are encouraged and can be submitted via the City’s website until Wednesday, February 17, 2021, at 5:00 p.m. (CST).  All comments submitted for these purposes will become part of the record, pertinent to the applicable case number.

The purpose of this hearing is to consider a request for variance to certain Zoning Ordinance regulations or interpretations of their intent made by the Director of Planning relating to the individual properties identified below. Please review the individual notice of publication pertaining to your petition of interest for information relating to it.  To report any inaccuracies in the text or seek further information about this request, please contact the Department of Planning and Parks at (636) 458-0440, prior to the hearing date. At this public hearing, the following request will be presented to the Board of Adjustment for consideration and action:


BA4-21 RL Jones Properties, 17195 New College Ave., Wildwood, Missouri 63040, c/o Jessica Buxton, Farmington Signs, 1249 Weber Loop, Farmington, Missouri 63640

- requests an exception to the City’s Sign Regulations, as applied within the Town Center Area, for the purpose of maintaining permanent signs installed without the benefit of a permit at 17209 New College Ave (Letty Lou’s) [Locator Number 24V410231], which would thereby authorize business wall sign components at heights of thirty (30) inches in lieu of the twenty-four (24) inch maximum and an overall square footage of sixty-one (61) square feet in lieu of the maximum fifty (50) square feet.  This request is contrary to the regulations set forth in Chapter 415.420 Sign Regulations for all the C-2 Shopping District and Chapter 415.190 C-8 Planned Commercial District Regulations of the City of Wildwood Zoning Ordinance, along with Amended C-8 Planned Commercial District Ordinance #1895, which was approved by the Wildwood City Council on November 13, 2012.
