Indoor Market - Saturday, November 14, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at Wildwood City Hall Atrium (Main Street, just to the west of the B&B Theatre)

Please join us for our third season of bringing the outdoor Farmers Market indoors during the months of November and December. The November pre-holiday winter market vendor list includes locally branded food items, farm fresh eggs, herbs and artisan wares. Historical Society Annual Bus Tour - TOMORROW!!!

“School days, school days, dear old golden rule days…”

The Wildwood Historical Society's 16th Annual Bus Tour will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015.

The morning tour leaves at 9:00 a.m., while the afternoon tour leaves at 1:00 p.m., both from the Wildwood Historical Society (WHS) Meeting Hall, at 18750 Highway 100, Wildwood, MO 63039

Each tour will last about three (3) hours and will feature one-room schoolhouses of Meramec Township, including brief outdoor stops that are now private residences, and a tour of the City of Wildwood’s beautifully restored Old Pond School.

Please note bus seating is limited, and reservations are first-come, first-serve. Reservations are $35.00 per person, with lunch included. Wildwood Historical Society (WHS) November Program

The November program of the Wildwood Historical Society (WHS) features the ever popular ‘Antiques Roadshow,' presented by you! The format is an informal show-and-tell period, and members can bring any special item they wish, such as an antique family dish, a favorite childhood toy, or a quirky kitchen tool from days past. Even if you don’t know much about your artifact, the Wildwood Historical Society (WHS) would love to see it. Who knows? Maybe one of the other attendees will be able to provide some valuable insight!

Next Early Childhood Recreation Program (ECRP) - LITTLE GYM

The next ECRP is November 18 and 19, 2015 and will feature a great program for all the little athletes. Two (2) sessions will be held each day: 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Registration is open! For more information, please contact Gary Crews at (636) 458-0440 or by e-mail via gary@cityofwildwood.com. Openings exist in all four (4) sessions, so please contact Gary, then your child and you can participate! Wildwood Frozen Feet Half Marathon Trail Race  

The Frozen Feet Half Marathon Trail Race is on the schedule for January 23, 2016. You are probably asking yourself why is this event being brought to your attention now?? The reason is simple ….. we want you to participate!!! In this event's short six (6) year history, it has become surprisingly popular, filling to its three hundred (300) participant capacity the last two (2) years!! Applications for this event began being accepted a short time ago and registrants have already now reached over 220!!! So, if you have an interest, register now, while spots remain!!! The route travels popular Wildwood trails for the entire distance. The race is doable by anyone, of any experience level, providing challenges for those wanting to set a PR, or just fun for those athletes doing their first trail run. There will be plenty of food and drink, before and after the race, a fabulous hooded sweatshirt, and great awards!! And, by the way, you will not find a better race in the area for the registration fee!!! The Shoeman Water Project Shoe Drive Continues at City Hall

City Council Meeting of November 9, 2015

At the November 9, 2015 City Council meeting, it completed the following actions:

  1. Passed a motion to cancel the December 28, 2015 City Council meeting.
  2. Re-appointed Vern Hutson from Ward 4 to Board of Adjustment for a Five Year Term. 
  3. Appointed Andrew Bolazina from Ward 4 to serve as an Alternate on the Board of Adjustment.  Mr. Bolazina is filling an unexpired term ending June 2017.
  4. Passed Ordinance #2133 authorizing the approval of a third replacement cash deposit agreement for the “Estates at Autumn Farms Subdivision”.
  5. Passed Ordinance #2134 authorizing the Mayor to execute certain agreements and documents in order to proceed with obtaining Federal funding for the Manchester Road Streetscape Project, Phase 3.
  6. Passed Ordinance #2135 appointing Elizabeth Weiss to the office of City Clerk for the City of Wildwood.
  7. Adopted Resolution #2015-35 that is a replacement to Resolution #2015-34, which now authorizes the Mayor to execute an agreement with MSD for a ten foot wide, permanent easement within the City’s Anniversary Park, for its use in conjunction with the Caulks Creek Trunk Sewer Project, Phase 1. This Resolution also authorizes a variable width temporary construction easement for associated work.

Master Plan Update News

The Master Plan Advisory Committee (MPAC) continues its work on updating the City's Master Plan. This group of twenty-three (23) volunteers has been meeting since January 2015, with the latest of their meetings focusing on land use and any potential changes to the Conceptual Land Use Categories Map. The Committee will continue meeting until the end of this year and are planning a Public Input Session on the document, which is tentatively scheduled for January 12, 2016 (Tuesday). More details will follow on this public input session, but, if you have any questions or comments now, please contact the Department of Planning at  joe@cityofwildwood.com.  

Election Information - April 5, 2016 Municipal Election

Filing OPENS on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at 8:00 a.m.
Filing can be completed between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.  Monday – Friday
Filing CLOSES on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at 5:00 p.m.
A filing fee of $10.00 is required made payable to: The City of Wildwood.  Credit cards cannot be accepted at this time.
Do you want to be Mayor in the City of Wildwood? 
You must meet the following Qualifications of Candidates for Mayor:
*  Serves a term of four (4) years;
*  Must be a registered voter;
*  Must be at least twenty-five (25) years old
*  Resident of Wildwood two (2) years preceding his/her election; and
*  Must not be in default on any City taxes, fines, or financial obligations to the City.

 Do you want to be a City Council Member in the City of Wildwood? 
 You must meet the following Qualifications of Candidates for City Council Member:
*  Serves a term of two (2) years;
*  Must be a registered voter;
*  A resident of Wildwood one (1) year preceding his/her election;
*  A resident of the Ward for one (1) year preceding his/her election; and

Nominating Petitions:
Candidates for Mayor and City Council Member shall be by petition filed by the nominee.  Signatures shall be valid only if obtained not earlier than forty-five (45) days prior to the first day of filing.  Therefore, No Signatures Valid Prior to Saturday, October 31, 2015.  No person shall be allowed to be nominated for more than one (1) office at a time.
